Market Day:
Oyingbo and Makoko

Shopping is said to be therapeutic but try shopping for food and experience the wonders of good health.

It cures all forms of anxiety and depression, it makes you happy plus you get your cardio in as well, lol.

Side effects include low account balance, self critisicm after the fact etc. However, the good outweighs the bad.

So, I dragged my usual partner in crime, Bernard (pictures by him) on a saturday morning to the two markets and we had fun.

Oyingbo, Lagos.
The market is already active as early as 5:30am. You get all the food stuff here especially for the local delicacies. The market is really big and can be overwhelming but how best can you get your cardio in for the day? You might be tempted to get everything you see but it's worth it especially if you have good storage.

Makoko, Lagos
If you are a sea/lagoon food lover, this is the place to be. They have it all, different species of aquatic life from fishes to crabs, prawns, lobsters, octopus, squids etc.
If your bargaining skills are first class, you will get the best deals.
The earlier you go, the better though
