The chick and the sides

I finally resumed work out this weekend after a month’s leave and honestly, leaving was a bad idea. Now I am sore all over and I can barely move but food is king and the greatest.

I think the work out decided to take control of my hunger/cravings and all I could think of was chicken, orange chicken. I made breaded chicken wings and guacamole for Saturday and roast orange chicken for Sunday.


Now that there is whole roast chicken, what side should go with eat? My first thought was avocado potato salad because I had left over guacamole and some potatoes that have been in my house for over a month. My second thought was jollof rice mostly because I had readymade sauce in the freezer.


You guessed right, I went with the two; What is life without variety right. And I had a cooking buddy, Romeo the lhasa and he approves of everything.


Before I forget, there was dessert as well, coconut cake with whipped cream and orange marmalade and all I have to say is, best combo ever.
