The Grill Fest II

The weekend came and once again the breakfast gods came around but this time, it was for lunch. I think they are adjusting to the fact that I am not a breakfast person.

It had to be the grills and what's better than Tilapia, Turkey, Plantain, Corn and Ube (bush pear).

For the corn, I added basil pesto before grilling which was a bad (not too bad) idea because it kind of fried when grilled. I added the pesto again after grilling and it was the best idea. So after grilling it is next time.


For the fish, I sprinked salt, drizzled lemon juice, massaged with garlic herb butter and garnished with the pesto once it was done. It came out really delicious.


For the turkey, it was all dry rub. Dry pepper flakes, powdered garlic, powdered ginger, thyme and salt. I put the left over rub on the plantain.


Ended the weekend with ice cream sundae. It had coconut and mint ice cream, brownies, sprinkles and chocolate sauce.
